THE CREW
Bboy Bangerang
Waddup? My name is Benjamin, some call me Beni but when it comes to killin' beats the name is Bangerang. I'm reppin' Rhythm Riderz Crew all day every day to the fullest; they are more than my crew, they are my family, my teachers, and my best friends. They inspire, and motivate me constantly. I've been breakin' now for 3 years and plan to continue for life. My style mostly focuses of musicality, originality, creativity, intricacy, and dualities. My style is always changing though depending on where I am, what I'm listening to. Through breakin' I hope to inspire, motivate, unify, captivate and have fun.
Bboy Cal
My name is Calvin Walker, I'm 18 years old and I've been bboying for 4 years. I am a self proclaimed underdog, and when I want something, I do whatever it takes bring it into my reality. My style doesn't come from the moves I do, or the steps I know, but from my inner confidence as a human being. Everyday I work to become a more dynamic person, and bboying is only one small piece of the puzzle that represents me.
But it is an awfully nice looking piece, I do have to admit.
Bboy Display
My story starts around the age of 15. My brother and I saw the movie Beat Street and instantly we knew we wanted to do that. We would watch the Roxy battle scene over and over trying to emulate the moves we saw. After learning some basic footwork and freezes, we got pretty serious about dancing. But it wasn't just dancing, it was the whole of Hip Hop culture. More than anything else, breakin' to me represents only one facet of a greater cause. Hip Hop is all about inclusiveness, love, unity, respect; and the realization that no matter what our differences, we are all still fundamentally the same.
Bboy Emerge
I started bboying when I was in 8th grade. I was always interested in dancing and gymnastics so I looked up dancing on the computer and came across breakdancing, it looked like something that I would really enjoy so I asked my brother if he would learn with me. He said yes so my brother and I bought the Step By Step dvd one day and started watching and learning the moves.
Bboy Hybrid
My name is Chris, I consider myself the self-proclaimed "hybrid" of the crew. My style is characterized by its dynamic and freestyle nature to its flipside of duality and balance. I've been breaking off and on since 2000 when all we had was a boombox, a carpeted basement and a couple international battle videos. After helping recruit Nathaniel (aka Labrat) and meeting In2wishin and Display from Lyndonville I realized that breaking was not just something I did, but something I loved. I love performance: the rules & regulations as well as the improvisation and entertainment. When you find something you love, you need to learn how to look at it from a unique perspective and keep it interesting, that's [one of] my breaking/life philosophies, yes...
Bboy In2Wishin
Intuition + In to wishin’ = In2wishin. Born in the city of Boston, raised in the forests of Vermont, and now holding it down in Orlando, FL. Hip Hop found me when I was 14, and I jumped right in because I knew it was where I belonged. It introduced me to my brothers, the Rhythm Riderz, and helped us make something out of our lives that no one thought we could. I love teaching and giving people the chance to see for themselves why I do what I do everyday. I can’t really explain what it’s like when I hear the music and I’m getting down. Whether it’s just bugging out with my crew, battling, or being able to captivate an entire audience just by being me… It’s the best feeling in the world, and it’s what I live for. From something to do for fun, to a passion, to a lifestyle, breaking will always be a part of me.
